Ayatollah Sayyid Mohammad Ali Ayazi is a teacher of advanced (kharij) studies at the Qom Seminary and a contemporary Qur'an scholar, a researcher and teacher in both the seminary and the university, and a well-known figure in the study of the Qur'an, hadith, Islamic history and contemporary religious thought. He has studied, taught and researched in the seminaries for many years, founded the journal Hawzah in Qom, and is a member of the Assembly of Teachers and Researchers of the Qom Seminary.
